The management of Magikland theme park in Silay City, Negros Occidental, is offering free entrance tickets for minors, with ages 12 to 17, who will have their vaccination at the park, starting today.
Magikland marketing manager Jessric Naria, who met yesterday with Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City, to discuss the vaccination activities at the theme park, disclosed that they will be giving free entrance tickets to the first 700 vaccinated minors, per day.
Naria said that the first phase of vaccination activities at the park will be until December 16 this year, and to resume in the second week of January 2022.
He, however, stressed that the free tickets, which is good for three months, can only be used a week after the vaccination of the minors. It is good only every Friday and Saturday of the week, Naria added.
Parents or guardians of the vaccinated minors are also welcome inside the theme park but will have to pay the entrance fees, Naria said
Diaz said the medical health workers of the provincial government will start the vaccination activities at the Magikland theme park, beginning today until Sunday, and will continue on November 30 until December 16.
The establishment of vaccination centers in tourism facilities form part of the campaign of the provincial government of Negros Occidental to increase the number of vaccinated individuals as it aims to achieve herd immunity against COVID-19 by February next year.
As of November 21, the provincial government reported that 30 percent of the 1.8 million Negrenses targeted for inoculation, equivalent to 548,010 people, have already been vaccinated.*
