Ayala Malls Capitol Central in collaboration with the Orange Project launched an art exhibition titled “Panulok” on May 15, featuring the works of nine prominent Negrense artists at its Negros Creative Corner within the mall.

The featured artists are Faye Abantao, Moreen Austria, Orange Project co-founder Charlie Co, Daryl Feril, Roedil Geraldo, Frelan Gonzaga, Erika Mayo, Manny Montelibano, and Mikiboy Pama.

The Negros Creative Corner was envisioned to be more than just an exhibition space, Ayala Malls Capitol Central mall manager Maria Sharon Ciocon said at the opening, adding that they wanted it to become a living, evolving venue where art becomes more accessible to the people of Bacolod – a place where artists and the community can connect through workshops, artists talks, exhibitions, creative collaborations, and shared experiences. “We believe the potential of this space is endless, and we are excited for what it can become in the future.”

“Of course, this initiative would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of one of the most respected names in the local and international art scene, Mr. Charlie Co, and Orange Project. We are deeply grateful for their partnership in helping bring this vision to life,” Ciocon said.

Bacolod and Negros have always been known for many wonderful things — our warmth, our culture, our delicious food, and increasingly, our thriving artistic community. Through the Negros Creative Corner, we hope to further support and uplift local artists by providing them with visibility, opportunities, and a space to share their work and stories with the community and continue to inspire others, she added.*
