A man was killed after being hit by a private vehicle along the National Road in Sitio Tuyuman, Barangay Caradio-an, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, on the night of February 5.
The victim was identified as alias Jeffrey, a resident of Sitio Mapait, Brgy. Suay, while the driver of the car was identified as a 38-year-old man known as alias Jay.
According to the investigation by the Himamaylan City PNP, the vehicle was traveling north when the incident occurred.
The victim had allegedly been drinking liquor when the accident occurred. He was staying near a field and suddenly crossed the road, resulting in the collision.
The victim sustained a severe head injury and was rushed to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead by the attending physician.*
