The subject of a drug-bust operation was killed in a shootout with cops at Florenceville Subdivision in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, last night.
P/Capt. Leo Estopa, Station 2 chief, said they were conducting a buy-bust operation when the subject sensed the presence of a policeman.
The subject drew his firearm, prompting the police to shoot him, he added.
The police had not released the name of the fatality as of press time.
Several persons were also arrested for engaging in a pot session, Estopa said.*
