A 43-year-old man was mauled to death by three unidentified men along the Hda. Malaga, Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, while on his way home after a drinking session with his companion, at around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Brian Guillermo, a resident of Brgy. San Pedro in the town of Binalbagan, who was with his companion during the incident.
Investigation by the La Castellana Municipal Police Station revealed that, according to the friend of the victim named Mathew Singson, they were drinking together with the victim at Rokrok Tambayan Resto Bar.
After the session, the two decided to go home on a motorcycle, and upon approaching the place of incident, they were allegedly flagged down by three unidentified persons.
The suspects approached the victims and without any apparent reason, the victims were attacked. Singson was able to escape and asked for help at the resto bar they came from, however, Guillermo was left behind at the scene.
According to the police, Guillermo sustained injuries from beating and multiple stab wounds on different parts of his body, which caused his death.
Suspects reportedly fled the scene after the incident. La Castellana Police are now conducting an investigation to identify the suspects for their possible arrest and filing of criminal charges.*
