A man was killed in a gun attack at a computer shop in Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, Bacolod City, at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Monday, February 2.
The victim, identified as Earnie Catahay, a resident of Victorias City, Negros Occidental, was inside the establishment when an unidentified male suspect opened fire using a firearm of an unknown caliber.
Catahay sustained multiple gunshot wounds to various parts of his body, resulting in his untimely death at the scene.
The suspect immediately fled in an unknown direction.
As of press time, authorities from Police Station 2 are leading hot pursuit operations to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
The motive behind the killing remains under investigation as police continue to coordinate with witnesses and check for potential leads.*
