A 44-year-old man lost his life after being stabbed in Purok Sawmill 3, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, Tuesday night, March 3.
Authorities identified the victim as Ian Carl Dela Cruz, a resident of Purok Sawmill 2, while the suspect, identified as Reynold Ison, also known as ‘Nonoy Alog,’ a resident of the same village, and is currently in police custody after a voluntary surrender.
According to the initial investigation by Bacolod City Police Station 3, Dela Cruz was reportedly walking along an alleyway in the subdivision when Ison suddenly attacked him, inflicting multiple stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Regional Memorial Hospital for immediate medical treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.
