The identity of a “salvage victim,” whose lifeless body was found on July 1 in Brgy. Tortosa, Manapla, Negros Occidental, has been established by the police.
PMaj. Jaynick Bermudez, Manapla police chief, yesterday identified the victim as Reynald Quiachon, 30, of Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.
The victim’s identity was confirmed by his live in partner, Allen Aniban, who went to the Manapla Police Station, Bermudez said.
Quiachon, who succumbed to three gunshot wounds in the head, was hogtied with packing tape on his mouth, when found by residents in the area, according to investigations of the Manapla police.
Bermudez raised the possibility that Quiachon was abducted in another place, and brought to Brgy. Tortosa in Manapla, where he was killed.
Two empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol and a placard with a message “Wag Tularan. Kawatan ako” were also recovered at the scene of incident, which is about 80 meters from the Bannga Ibus national highway in Brgy. Tortosa, Manapla.
Bermudez said they are coordinating with the Bacolod City Police Office to establish the background of the victim.*
