Barangay Mansilingan is still considered by the Bacolod City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (BCESU) a hotspot barangay, after registering 92 dengue cases as of August 27.
The total reported dengue cases in Bacolod City is 707 with nine deaths, a figure 230.4 percent higher than the number of cases last year, which was 214 with three deaths.
Next to Mansilingan, the barangays with the highest number of dengue cases are Taculing and Estefania with 53 cases each, Tangub – 46, Villamonte – 44, Singcang – 42, Alijis – 41, Sum ag – 36, Cabug – 35, Mandalagan – 34, Handumanan – 25, Bata -24, Granada – 23, Banago – 19, and Vista Alegre- 16.*
