In celebration of World Polio Month and its 33rd Charter Anniversary, the Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara recently joined hands with the community in a vital Polio Immunization Drive in Bacolod City’s Barangay Tangub.
The event highlighted Rotary’s unwavering dedication to eradicating polio and safeguarding every child’s right to a healthy future. Club members gathered at the Tangub Barangay Hall to support local medical teams in administering life-saving vaccines to children in the community.
Later that evening, Rotarians and guests came together at Bistro 10 for an evening of fellowship, celebration and reflection on the club’s 33 years of service. The gathering honored past achievements while inspiring renewed commitment to Rotary’s core values.
“Service Above Self has guided our club for over three decades,” said club president April Kitagawa. “As we mark this anniversary, we recommit ourselves to uplifting those in need and building a healthier, more compassionate society.”
President Kitagawa also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members for their dedication and tireless efforts in helping to build a healthier, more vibrant community.
