Marapara Rotary tees up for annual golf fundraiser

The Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara is teeing up for its annual “Golf for a Cause” fundraiser and looking forward to a record number of participants.

The club is hosting its annual golf tournament that will run for three days, Friday – Sunday, June 21-23, at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club in Bacolod City.

“This is more than just a few days on the greens – it’s an opportunity for us to come together and support causes that truly make a difference,” said club president Dr. Eric Malo-oy.

“This is our 23rd tournament. It’s an important event for us as the funds raised enable the club to conduct its many community outreach programs.”

Malo-oy added that golfers can look forward to what is always a fun event and the satisfaction of contributing to a greater good.

“We invite everyone to join us for three days of golf and giving back,” tournament chairman and incoming club president Igie Villarosa said. “Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or new to the game, there’s a place for you in our tournament. Together, we can make a difference.”

Players can sign up on the first day of the event at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club.  Registration is P3,000, which includes green fees, the awards dinner, and gimmes. Mulligans are P500 each. All participants also have a chance to win prizes.*
