It was a proud moment for the Rotary Club of Bacolod Marapara as President April Kitagawa and her team helped usher in the birth of a new Rotary club: the Rotary Club of Murcia-Tinabuay.
Held in the heart of the municipality of Murcia, the chartering ceremony marked the formal start of the new club’s journey. Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas stepped forward as Charter President, receiving the Charter Certificate, Bell, Gavel, and Club Banner – emblems of Rotary leadership and fellowship.

Kitagawa, joined by fellow Marapara Rotarians, presided over the event, which was warmly supported by Rotary International District 3850 Governor Pip Acepcion.
“As your mother club,” said President Kitagawa to Mayor Rojas, “the Rotary Club of Bacolod Marapara – along with the entire District 3850 – stands firmly behind you. We’re here to guide, support and celebrate with you as you build a vibrant and service-driven Rotary Club of Murcia-Tinabuay.”*
