Marayo Bank Inc. (A Rural Bank) held recently the inauguration and blessing of its 14th banking unit in the Municipality of Dauin, Negros Oriental.
The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Clarence Canafe, the parish priest of the Mary Immaculate Parish, Dumaguete City and was attended by Dauin Vice Mayor Rodrigo Alanano, Dauin Councilor Alvin Truita, Mary Grace Escario, president and general manager of Marayo Bank and bank directors Maria Teresa Jesusa Carmela Ortiz and Lucia Villafranca, Marayo Bank stockholders, senior management officers, businessmen and local government officials.
The opening of Dauin Branch is part of Marayo Bank’s program of expanding its well-known reputation of delivering fast and efficient banking services for over 54 years to the people in the communities where the bank has its presence particularly to the unserved population in the rural areas.
With the opening of its Dauin Branch, Marayo Bank will now be able to serve the people of Dauin and its neighboring cities and towns such as Dumaguete City, Bacong, Sibulan, Zamboanguita, Siaton, Sta. Catalina and other parts of Negros Oriental.
In the last 15 years, Marayo Bank registered rapid growth in terms of profitability and financial resources and has become one of the biggest rural banks in the country.
