The almost P1 billion new Provincial Administration Center (PAC) Building is targeted for completion by March this year.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz III disclosed on Monday that the installation of window panels is now underway, to complete the construction.
The seven-story PAC building, which started construction in 2022, has an allocated budget of almost P1 billion.
Diaz said the furniture and fixtures are now being readied for transfer to the new PAC building, once its construction is fully completed.
The new PAC building will be occupied by almost all Negros Occidental provincial government departments, to establish a one-stop-shop for all public services.
However, the Office of the Governor and the Office of the Provincial Administrator will remain at the century-old Provincial Capitol building in Bacolod City.
But a receiving area for the Office of the Governor was allocated at the new PAC building.
The new PAC building is targeted to be operational within the second quarter of this year.*
