Bayan Negros will hold a march-protest commemorating the Escalante Massacre and the 52nd anniversary of Martial Law, today in Bacolod City.
The march- protest will start at 2 p.m. from Rizal Park and end with a program at the Halandumon Tower along Gatuslao-Gonzaga streets
The event is more than just a commemoration of the dark days of martial law. The protest-march aims to hold the current Marcos and Duterte administrations accountable for escalating economic crises, human rights violations, and pervasive corruption affecting Negrosanons and the broader Filipino people, a press release from Bayan Negros said.
The protest will honor the legacy of the anti-dictatorship struggle and emphasize the importance of collective action for democratic reforms.*
