Basketball legends are set to clash for a cause in Bacolod City next week, with the proceeds from the “Legends Rise: MassKara Gugma All-Star Game” to be donated to families affected by the recent fire in Barangay 27.
Scheduled for October 4 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum, the event is a centerpiece of this year’s MassKaralympics 2025 which will feature 28 sporting events.
The main event will highlight the Gilas Legends taking on the Greg Gasataya Basketball League (GGBL) All-Stars Selection.
GMA artist Rayver Cruz will also be joining as the celebrity guest player of the GGBL.
The game will be preceded by a preliminary match between two of Bacolod’s top collegiate teams, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod and La Consolacion College-Bacolod, starting at 4:00 p.m.
Part of the proceeds from the ticket sales, which range from P350 for General Admission to P1,500 for Courtside A, will benefit the over 200 families affected by the fire.
Meanwhile, the 46th MassKara Festival will be having dual venues in Bacolod City Government Center and Bacolod Public Plaza, during its grand opening on October 1, featuring artists such as Elias J. TV band, Silent Sanctuary, and Repakol.*
