The MassKara Festival generated P17.06 million in total sales from its primary food parks across the Bacolod City Public Plaza and the Bacolod City Government Center Grounds (BCGC).
The Bacolod Gugma Foundation Inc. confirmed the figures, which are based on final declarations submitted by more than 130 participating small and medium-sized vendors.
The Bacolod City Public Plaza was the top earner with 79 vendors, pulling in P11.87 million during the 19-day run, with grilling stalls contributing P8.82 million of the plaza’s total.
Meanwhile, declared sales at the BCGC Grounds reached P5.19 million, with grilling generating P4.79 million.
According to festival organizers, the most lucrative period at the BCGC was during the final four days of the MassKara festival, where grilling kiosks surpassed P2 million in sales alone.
The reported P17 million figure does not account for income from other festival zones such as the MassKanamit in Megaworld and the 3-day party in Lacson Tourism Strip.
Each vendor rented a minimum of two stalls priced at P50,000 or P25,000 each, for the duration of the festival.*
