The city government of Bacolod, headed by Mayor Greg Gasataya through the Bacolod City Tourism Development Office, in partnership with the Bacolod Gugma Foundation Inc. and Diskwento Caravan of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), launched the MassKara Shopping Festival, happening from October 1 to 19.
The program is one of the city’s highlighted activities for the world-renowned MassKara Festival, bringing together Bacolod’s premier malls-Ayala Malls Capitol Central, SM City Bacolod, Robinsons Bacolod, Lopue’s East Centre and Lopue’s Araneta, for a citywide shopping celebration.
Festival-goers and shoppers can look forward to big discounts, exclusive promos and exciting deals from participating mall tenants. Each mall has prepared special promotions – from rebate points, loyalty rewards and flash sales, to discounts on selected items across fashion, footwear, accessories, gadgets, groceries, eyewear and lifestyle products.
Chief Tourism Operations Officer Ma. Teresa Manalili emphasized the importance of the initiative in supporting both the local economy and the festive spirit of Bacolod, “The MassKara Shopping Festival is not only about great deals and discounts. It is about giving our people and visitors more reasons to celebrate Bacolod. This program reflects our commitment to strengthen tourism and of course, stimulate economic activity.”
The city government encouraged residents and tourists alike to take part in the MassKara Shopping Festival, a proud component of Bacolod’s month-long festivities that combines culture, celebration and commerce.*
