The Bacolod City Plaza sparkled with lights, music, and community spirit as tricycle drivers took the spotlight during the Trisikat 2025 and TODA Best Man 2025 competitions—two of the most vibrant and heartfelt sectoral events in this year’s MassKara Festival.
Sixteen tricycle drivers proudly paraded their creatively decorated tricycles in the Trisikat competition, transforming their everyday vehicles into mobile works of art. Each tricycle reflected the personal style, creativity, and barangay pride of its driver.
Rolan Tullo of Barangay Bata emerged as the Trisikat 2025 champion, winning P15,000.
Jerry Orpiana of Barangay 29 took first runner-up with P10,000, followed by Gabby del Rosario of Barangay Villamonte as second runner-up with P7,500.
Fellow Villamonte driver Albert S. Peñas won third runner-up and P5,000, while Rino V. Contapay of Barangay Sum-ag placed fourth runner-up, receiving P3,000.
Adding flair and personality to the evening was the TODA Best Man 2025 pageant, where six contestants competed in a production number, talent portion, uniform presentation, and question-and-answer round.
Ronald Manaba of Barangay Villamonte was crowned TODA Best Man 2025, earning P10,000, a sash, and a trophy. Richard Gonzales of Barangay Bata was first runner-up with P7,500, while Johnrey G. Calantas of Barangay 29 came in as second runner-up, taking home P5,000.
Special awards were also given. Best in Talent went to Jesus M. Flores of Barangay 12, whose performance drew loud applause from the audience. Best in TODA Uniform and Best in RexIDOL – A Tricycle Driver’s Story were both awarded to Richard Gonzales of Barangay Bata.
Festival Director Rodney Mitz Ascalon emphasized the importance of these events in highlighting the everyday heroes of Bacolod. “This is our tribute to our hardworking tricycle drivers who play a vital role in keeping Bacolod moving. Through Trisikat and TODA Best Man, we recognize their creativity, their service, and their heart for the community. That’s what the MassKara spirit is all about,” he said.*
