Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia enjoins everyone to “pause and remember the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, who died on the Cross for our redemption, as we look forward to celebrate the Holy Week with our loved ones.”
May this Lenten Season rekindle our faith, strengthen our resolve to embrace the Lord’s teachings and bring us closer to the Almighty as we continue to face dire times and personal challenges, the mayor said.
Leonardia said “Let this be a time to be thankful for the gift of life, friends and family. Let us pray for abundant blessings and continued protection, and, together with the rest of the Christian world, rejoice in His resurrection.”
He also wished every Bacolodnon a peaceful and meaningful observance of the Holy Week.*
