Property giant Megaworld Corporation is targeting to open in July its first pickleball facility along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Road—another milestone that reflects the city’s rising energy, growth, and love for active living.

To open inside the thriving Northill Gateway township, the new sports and recreation hub, Northill Courtyard, will feature four tournament-standard pickleball courts designed to welcome everyone—from curious beginners to seasoned competitors chasing their next win, a Megaworld press release said.

More than just a sports venue, Northill Courtyard is envisioned as a place where friendships are built, passions are discovered, and communities come alive through movement and connection.

Spanning nearly 1,200 square meters, the facility will offer not only expansive courts but also a lounge area and Northill Café by Quino’s, a concept from homegrown Bacolod brand Quino’s founded by husband-and-wife team John Ledesma and Ann Ledesma.

Visitors will also enjoy convenient access to nearby favorites such as McDonald’s, Denny’s, and JT’s Manukan.

The venue will be managed by ADA Sports, a group founded by passionate pickleball enthusiasts who hope to grow the sport in Bacolod and inspire more people to embrace a healthier, more social lifestyle.

Amenities will include shaded seating areas, benches, drinking fountains, safety fencing, ample parking, and pedestrian-friendly walkways—creating a space designed not only for competition, but for comfort and community.

“Pickleball’s appeal lies in its simplicity, accessibility, and strong sense of community. We are excited to help grow this movement in Bacolod by creating a dedicated space where people can stay active, connect, and enjoy the game,” disclosed Tin Yusingco-Torre, general manager for Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, Northill Gateway. Torre added that the project further strengthens Northill Gateway’s identity as a premier residential and lifestyle destination while supporting Bacolod’s continued progress.

Present during the groundbreaking rites on April 10 were partners Angela Quilop, Jojo Quilop, Desi Arana, Ann Ascalon-Ledesma, Jogie Viceo, and Megaworld Assistant President Harold Brian Geronimo, who delighted guests by showcasing his pickleball skills.

As Bacolod continues to evolve into a modern and dynamic city, Northill Courtyard stands as more than a new development—it is a symbol of how recreation, wellness, and shared experiences can shape a brighter, more connected future, the Megaworld, statement said.*
