Merzci Pasalubong opened its 73rd branch and its biggest store at the Silay Airport Road in Silay City yesterday, with its CEO and president Jonathan Manuel Lo and co-founder Corazon Lo leading the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
It is the first branch to house a “But First Coffee,” operated by Lorem Café owned by Jeremy Manuel Lo, son of Jonathan Lo, and the fifth Merzci Pasalubong store in Silay City.
Mayor Joedith Gallego thanked the Lo family for their business investment in Silay City. Their investment in the city will redound to the benefit of its people, he said.
Gallego congratulated the owners of Merzci Pasalubong on behalf of the city officials, together with Vice Mayor Tom Ledesma and the city councilors. “We hope you will bring in more investments to Silay because I have heard that you have more plans in the future. We welcome you and we will provide whatever support you will need.”*
