Merzci, through its Merzci Cares program, turned over its donation of five laptop units to Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for Medical Data and Analysis of the Emergency Operations Center in Bacolod City yesterday.

The laptops will be used by the vaccination center to operationalize the Vaccine Administration System developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology, a press release from Merzci said.

Sorongon said the system developed by DICT will enable the vaccination center to provide vaccinees with printed copies of their vaccination cards along with a unique QR Code.

The system also includes the master listing and pre-registration for vaccination, and the directory of vaccine recipients. Sorongon added that the donation is a great help in transitioning the vaccination process online.

The Merzci Cares Program was initiated by Merzci, the flagship brand of CM and Sons Food Products Inc., at the start of the pandemic. It aims to help the community and the government in the fight against Covid-19, the press release added.*
