
Merzci Bread and Pastries opened its fourth branch at Rizal Street, Brgy. 2 in Silay City, Negros Occidental, and the 65th in the country, yesterday.
The grand opening started with a short message from Silay City Mayor Mark Golez, followed by the blessing of the store.
It was attended by councilors Lyndon Bernardo and Ryan Gamboa, Golez and his wife, Ann Azcona-Golez, and Merzci chief executive officer and president, Jonathan Manuel Lo.
Silaynons enjoyed the buy 1+1 free promo on selected Merzci products during the grand opening, a press release from the store said.
The Merzci Silay 4 branch will carry a wide variety of pasalubong treats, like biscocho, butterscotch, piaya, barquillos, assorted tarts, cakes, and the mouthwatering hot piaya.
Merzci is the flagship brand of CM & Sons Food Products Inc., the manufacturer of the Best Bacolod Pasalubong products, the press release said.
The expansion is still part of CM & Sons aim to make their products and services accessible to more markets in the islands of Negros, Panay, and Cebu.
