Merzci Bread and Pastries opened a bigger, better, and fresher branch in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City on June 18.

Bacolod City Administrator, Em Ang, and Merzci president and chief executive officer, Jonathan Manuel Lo, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, along with the store managers and personnel, its press release said.

Customers also enjoyed freebies, bundling and buy one, get one deals.

In support of the local government’s vaccination program, Merzci Sum-ag also offered a “Buy 1, Get 1” promo for walk-in customers who can present their vaccination card upon purchase, the press release said.

Social distancing was strictly observed and only 20 customers are allowed in the store at all times.

The new branch is a 4-in-1 full store with bakeshop, fastfood, pasalubong, and bake-off products. It is now located beside the Sum-ag public market.

The Sum-ag branch, which first opened on August 8, 2012, was Merzci’s 28th branch and was formerly located at Araneta Street, Purok Masagana in the barangay.*
