The Merzci vaccination drive*

Local bread and pasalubong producer Merzci continues to support and help the local government and communities in the fight against COVID-19 with its MerzciCares initiative.

As part of its advocacy to promote getting vaccinated and achieve herd immunity, Merzci held a vaccination drive in Trinity Christian School, in collaboration with Bacolod City Government’s VAX-I program last September 18, 2021. A total of 200 vaccinees, which included Merzci employees and their relatives, were present in the said event, the press release said.

The vaccination drive is part of the continued advocacy of MerzciCares to encourage people to get vaccinated and for the city to achieve herd immunity. Aside from the vaccination drive, MerzciCares put up two billboards in Bacolod City for its vaccination campaign. MerzciCares also lent one of its buses to team up with the Bacolod EOC with their mobile vaccination program or the VAX-I, reaching out to more people within the city.

The press release added that MerzciCares, was initiated since the start of the community quarantines last March 2020. It aims to support Merzci employees, frontliners, the local government, and communities in strengthening COVID19 response.

Merzci kicked off its MerzciCares initiative with distribution of loaves to frontliners in various private and public hospitals, and to all barangays in Bacolod City, Negros province and Cebu City, as early as March last year.

These activities are part of Merzci’s effort to help in COVID19 response and staying true to its core value of Compassion, making sure no one gets left behind.*PR
