Two hundred ninety-two more individuals were apprehended for violating quarantine protocols in Bacolod City, that is still under modified general community quarantine until July 31.
From Friday to Wednesday, personnel from police stations 1 to 10, the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company, and Mobile Patrol Group, conducted simultaneous operations against violators of health protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019.
On Wednesday, 65 persons were nabbed for not wearing face masks and not practicing social distancing, 42 on Tuesday, 39 on Monday, 36 on Sunday, 28 on Saturday, 37 on July 10, and 45 on July 9, the Bacolod City Police Office reported.
There are now 5,187 quarantine violators arrested in Bacolod since May 20.
They may face charges for violation of the Revised Penal Code, or resistance and disobedience to a person in authority or agents of such person.*
