A minor linked to a series of theft incidents and robbery cases, was shot and killed yesterday in Purok Bayanihan, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City.
The 17-year-old victim, whose identity is being withheld for being a minor, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City, the police said.
Initial investigation of the Bacolod City Police Office Station 4 showed that the victim was followed by the suspect into an unoccupied house in the area where he was shot and killed.
Responding policemen recovered five empty shells and five slugs of .45 caliber pistol at the scene of incident.
The victim had reportedly been going in and out of the Social Development Center, a custodial facility for minors, in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.
Meanwhile, another minor was injured when he was stabbed by a certain Romy Suyo in Sitio Yanog, Brgy. Tampalon, Kabankalan City, on Sunday.
The 16-year-old victim sustained a stab wound in the stomach and is now being treated at the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City.
Investigations of the Kabankalan City police showed that a heated argument ensued among his siblings, their father, and Suyo, 30, a laborer, in connection with their work while they were having a drinking spree, and this led to the stabbing incident.
Meanwhile, an unidentified gunman also shot dead a certain Leonardo Garcia Jr. in Purok Tayum-an, Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental, on Sunday.
Garcia, 34, was with his son, who is a minor, when the suspect on a motorcycle arrived and shot him several times, without any provocation, the Murcia police said.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the CLMMRH in Bacolod City. Police recovered four fired cartridges of a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.*GPB
