The City of Smiles once again celebrates beauty, empowerment, and inclusivity as two of the most anticipated events of MassKara Festival 2025—Miss Bacolod MassKara and MassKareyna—take center stage this October.

The spotlight shines on the Miss Bacolod MassKara 2025 Coronation Night set for Sunday, October 12, at 7 p.m. at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum.

Fifteen candidates will compete for the crown, each representing the intelligence, beauty, and advocacy of the modern Bacolodnon woman.

This year’s official candidates are Kaye Luzuriaga, Jestine Nacionales, Faith Marie Doronila, Ashley Bernadeth de Asis, Jeremae Pacino, Janabea Gepana, Eynna Mei Lu, Daniella Cheska Giltendez, Sophia Kaye Zaragoza, Mary Angelique Faye Caballero, Roshyn Kate Jamantoc, Ysabella Wuthrich, Aleyssa Dionio, Chezzy Laguna, and Ednalyn Garcia.

The pre-pageant activities have already built excitement leading up to the grand coronation. The press presentation introduced the candidates to the media, where, for the first time, two muses were chosen—one by the Legacy Media and another by the Online Press. The candidates also displayed their skills and creativity during the Talent Presentation and the Festival Costume Competition, which featured designs inspired by Bacolod’s unique barangay festivals.

MASSKAREYNA 2025

Meanwhile, the much-awaited MassKareyna 2025 pageant unfolded yesterday with the Sashing Ceremony at SM City Bacolod at 11 a.m.

Considered among the biggest transgender beauty competitions in the Philippines, MassKareyna gathers the most stunning and confident transgender women from across the country.

The pageant continues to champion inclusivity and self-expression, giving a platform for the LGBTQIA+ community to celebrate their identity and talent through the vibrant spirit of the MassKara Festival.

Both Miss Bacolod MassKara and MassKareyna are flagship events under the Gugma Foundation’s “MassKara for All” campaign, underscoring that beauty and purpose go hand in hand in celebrating Bacolod’s creativity, diversity, and heart.*
