The Miss Bacolod MassKara 2025 sashing ceremony and press presentation officially kicked off the pageant season at the Main Atrium of SM City Bacolod on September 20.
Fifteen official candidates, who will compete for the title, were formally sashed during the event Saturday. They are Kaye Luzuriaga, Jestine Nacionales, Faith Marie Doronila, Ashley Bernadeth De Asis, Jeremae Pacino, Janabea Gepana, Eynna Mei Lu, Daniella Cheska Giltendez, Sophia Kaye Zaragoza, Mary Angelique Faye Caballero, Roshyn Kate Jamantoc, Ysabella Wuthrich, Aleyssa Dionio, Chezzy Laguna, and Ednalyn Garcia.
During the ceremony, two special awards were presented to the contestants, namely the Legacy Media Award, selected by media representatives from news, radio, and TV; and the Digital Media Award, chosen by digital content creators such as bloggers, vloggers, and social media influencers.
The Legacy Media Award was awarded to Sophia Kaye Zaragoza, while the Digital Media Award was awarded to Ysabella Wuthrich.
The event was attended by Bacolod City Councilors Em Ang, Israel Salanga, and Homer Bais, along with representatives from the Bacolod Gugma Foundation Inc. board of directors.
The ceremony marked the beginning of a series of pre-pageant activities leading up to the coronation night on October 12 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum.*
