The 11-year-old boy who was reported missing in Cauayan, Negros Occidental, was found dead and buried in the sand at Purok 1, Barangay Tiling on Monday afternoon.
The investigation by the Cauayan Municipal Police Station revealed that the boy had been missing and was last seen on Sunday morning.
According to the account of the victim’s aunt, while they were searching for him, she noticed that the sand in the area near the shoreline, where the boy was last seen playing, felt unusually soft.
Upon inspecting the area, she requested assistance to dig.
After digging, they discovered the boy’s body buried in the sand.
He was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead by the attending physician.
Police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the case, as the family believes there may have been foul play involved in the boy’s death.*
