The search for a missing female PWD (Person With Disability) ended on Tuesday after her lifeless body was discovered floating in a river in Purok 2, Brgy. Liao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The victim was identified by the police as Rena Mae Rapiosa, a 22 year old PWD, and a resident of Brgy. 1 Poblacion, Kabankalan City.
Her lifeless body was found by a certain Zion Gantala, and it was reported by Linao barangay kagawad Elmo Harungay to the Kabankalan City Police Station.
Bryan Rapiosa, who positively identified the victim, told the police that his cousin was reported missing on July 12.
It was not yet established by the police if there was foul play in her death or if it was a drowning incident case.
Meanwhile, two victims of stabbing and hacking incidents were also reported on Tuesday to the Sagay City Police Station.
A hacking incident suspect identified as Henry Lumocso, fled after inflicting an injury to John Sahot in Brgy. Andres Bonifacio in Sagay City.
Sahot and his friends were having a drinking spree when the suspect arrived and, without any reason, hacked him with a bolo, hitting him on his left arm.
The victim is now being treated for his injury at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City whie the suspect fled immediately.
Silay City resident Eduardo Navarro Jr. was stabbed in his armpit allegedly by Rolando Sernal also on Tuesday in Brgy. 2 Poblacion, Sagay City.
Sernal was arrested by the police after the commission of the crime.*
