The local government of Moises Padilla in Negros Occidental is regulating the entry of transient individuals to the town due to threats of COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia Yulo issued an executive order establishing quarantine control points in Moises Padilla, to mitigate if not contain, the COVID-19 transmission citing reports of the Provincial Health Office on cases of local transmission on its neighboring towns and cities.

Yulo said that non-residents of the town, except those on essential travel, will be required to present medical health certificates and barangay certifications to be allowed entry at the quarantine control points manned by the police or military personnel, among others, authorized by the municipal government.

Moises Padilla residents who stay overnight or longer in high risk areas declared by health authorities, must present documents similar to those being asked from transient individuals entering the town. They will also be considered as Persons Under Monitoring.

The executive order also states that frontliners working outside Moises Padilla are strongly encouraged to undergo home quarantine, upon returning home, while barangay officials travelling outside the municipality for official business are required to secure travel order from the Office of the Mayor.*
