More houses, tourism office closed

Six households in Purok Boulevard, Barangay 13, Bacolod City, were placed under lockdown yesterday after two of its female residents tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19),Barangay Captain Andre Familiaran said yesterday.

Familiaran said one of the COVID patient is an 86-year-old woman and the other is in her 20’s.

Meanwhile, the City Tourism Office (CTO) at the ground floor of the Bacolod City Government Center will be closed for disinfection for one week starting today until Sunday.

City Administrator Em Ang confirmed yesterday that a staff member of the CTO tested positive for COVID-19.

Inquiries with the CTO will be accommodated by the City Mayor’s Office (CMO) at 435-0055 or 707-1569.

The Bacolod City Lying-in and Birthing Center of the City Health Office was closed for disinfection and sanitation starting Friday and will resume its full operations on Thursday.*
