The number of show cause orders (SCOs) issued to candidates in the synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in Negros Occidental have further risen of 107, as of October 11, according to Comelec records.
EB Magalona keeps the top spot, having the most number of SCOs issued by Comelec at 56, it added.
On Oct. 5, 40 SCOs were issued to EB Magalona candidates, and an additional 16 were issued as of Oct. 11.
Provincial Comelec supervisor Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria reported yesterday that the majority of complaints are related to premature campaigning.
Additional 15 SCOs were also issued to candidates in Manapla, two in Cauayan, and one in Sagay.
All the SCOs issued have already been served, according to the Commission on Elections.*
