Policemen arrested the number one most-wanted person of the PNP-Highway Patrol Group in Western Visayas during a manhunt operation in Brgy. 20, Bacolod City, on Sunday.
Nabbed by virtue of an arrest warrant for carnapping charges, issued by San Carlos Regional Trial Court Judge Kathrine Go, was Carlo Claro, 37, of the place.
He was apprehended in a joint effort of the HPG, the Bacolod City Police Office Mobile Force Company, and NOCPPO intelligence operatives and BCPO Station 4 personnel.
Go recommended P300,000 bail for the temporary liberty of Claro, who is now under the custody of the BCPO Station 4.
Meanwhile, four drug suspects were arrested by the police in Negros Occidental, and the operations yielded P75,000 worth of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia.
About 10 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P68,000, and P1,000 in marked money, were recovered during the arrest of Antonino Immanuel Limsiaco in Brgy. Libacao, Himamaylan City.
The apprehension of Joven Catigan in Brgy. Robles, La Castellana, yielded P544 worth of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money, the police said. Also arrested were Estanislao Estelleso in Brgy. 1, Isabela, and Ronald Delima in Brgy. Laga-a, Calatrava, and the operations yielded P6,256 worth of suspected shabu, the police added.*
