A motorcycle driver died, while his back rider was injured, in a collision with another vehicle, driven by a Polish national on July 29 in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
Initial police investigations showed that the Kawasaki Barako 175 motorcycle, driven by Aljun Lacbanes Gual, with Ma. Mariel Gual riding pillion, was travelling from west to east when it figured in a collision with a Ford Everest vehicle driven by Konrad Aleksander, a Polish national.
The road crash caused the death of Aljun Gual and injuries to his back rider, police investigations further showed.
DROWNING INCIDENT
A 26-year old person drowned on Saturday, as he and his friends went fishing at the shoreline of Purok 12 in Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City.
The victim identified by the Himamaylan police as Joven Buenaflor, shouted for help as he was suffering from cramps in the water.
Witness Jessie Olay, who tried to rescue him but was not able to do so, because of the strong current and big waves, police investigations also showed.
Buenaflor, 25, was later brought to the Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital in Himamaylan City, where he was declared dead on arrival by attending physician, Dr. Rodolfo Blancia, police added.
STABBING INCIDENT
A 54-year old woman was also reported by the police to be declared dead on arrival at a hospital, after she was stabbed by an unidentified suspect on Saturday night at Hacienda Cuaycong in Brgy. Punta Mesa, Manapla.
The victim was identified by the Manapla police as Virgie Nuyad Sabordo.
Initial police investigations indicated that the victim was stabbed by an unidentified suspect, while entering her residence, based on the testimonies of her live-in partner, Filem Billios.
The suspect, who was reportedly hiding inside the residence of the victim, immediately fled.
Sabordo was immediately brought to a hospital in Manapla, where he was also declared dead on arrival, according to the police.*
