The Mundial de Futbol: Challenge Cup series that will be held November 23 and 24 at the Panaad Stadium will highlight the Girls Under 14 team of Buglas Filipinas, who were recently crowned champion in the 2nd Leg of the Bantug tiff on September 20-21.
They will prove their prowess against the football power houses of Cebu City, Negros Oriental, and Panay Island in an 11-player, winner takes all soccer tournament. Ten slots are also up for grabs for Visayas region clubs in the Open Born 2010 and Open Born 2013 in 8-a-side matches.
Mundial de Futbol series is powered by Mdot, Binance, Gardenville United FC, NORFA, Abanse Negrense Sports program of Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson, and Megaworld NortHill Gateway.
According to the press release, it is a prelude to the biggest youth International Soccer in the southern hemisphere, Australia’s 33rd Kanga Cup in Canberra.
