Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas, with Vice Mayor Johnny Reosura and the SB Members, recently turned over two more brand new ambulances to the Murcia Rural Health Unit, headed by Dr. Raymund Antonio Maguad.

“These two new ambulances are in addition to the four brand new ambulances which we have already provided to the Rural Health Unit since the start of my term. This is a testament to our pledge that this administration will give top priority to the improved delivery of health services to our constituents,” Rojas said in a press release.

“This fleet of brand new ambulances will add to the RHU’s mobility in responding to emergencies and in transporting Murciahanon patients to nearby hospitals in times of emergencies. Please take care of these vehicles and maintain them properly, so that many Murciahanons can benefit from their use for as long as possible,” the mayor added.

Maguad thanked Mayor Rojas and other town officials for their support to the RHU. He disclosed that the RHU now has six brand new ambulances and five serviceable ambulances, two of which are assigned to the barangays.

Out of the six new ambulances, four were procured using local funds, while the other two units were sourced from the Department of Health, thru the office of 3rd District Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Benitez.

Rojas also disclosed that the other old but serviceable ambulances will be turned over to other barangays which do not have an ambulance.*
