A group art exhibit featuring the works of 23 Negrense visual artists opened at the Museo De La Salle Bacolod on October 3 and will run until Oct. 31.
Titled “Mind Showers,” the exhibit showcases the creativity of the artists’ imagination expressed on canvas. The title became an idea-generating activity for the artists to come up with various subjects and themes that tell a story in its own individual way.
The featured artists are Gillan Agua, Darlene Ambrocio, Arvin Belicano, Jorge Cape, Agustin Chavez, Robert De Aro, Christy Francisco, Michael Gabilla, Rose Jimeno, Luxe Lacson, Gani Lanson, Patricia Larayos, Mei Lonasco, Ting Lopez, Alain Macazar, Alden Macazar, Joemel Magno, Boyet Purano, Raul Magpayo, Butch Salanap, Chrysee Samillano, Red Santillan, and Dynalyn Tan.
The guests of honor at the opening were lawyer Carla Dela Peña-Vasquez and Art Association of Bacolod-Negros treasurer Patty Jane Ong.*
