The Negros Association of Government Information Officers and Liaison (NAGIOL) elected a new set of officers for the 2025-2028 triennium term, during the Information Officers’ Summit 2025, which concluded yesterday at Roy’s Hotel in Bacolod City.
The association will be led by the Provincial Capitol Information Officer Dina Callejas as the president and FO2 Paul Servano, PIO of the Bureau of Fire Protection as vice-president.
“We will always fight for the accurate information to be disseminated to the public at all times, and we commit to fighting fake news and all kinds of disinformation,” Callejas vowed after the election.
Moreover, Alaine Borja from Provincial PIO and Bea Fortaleza of the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) will serve as the executive secretary and assistant secretary of the association, respectively.
“NAGIOL is a powerful group. We will give our focus to it, and as PIOs, we commit to always uphold the values of integrity, and as a group, we will use this platform to promote effective information dissemination at its best without biases and for the interest of the majority,” she added.
NAGIOL, which was established more than 10 years ago, is a group of information officers in the Negros province organized to provide proper information dissemination tactics within the province, under the watch of the provincial information office.*
