The “Hatid Nazareno” journey in Bacolod City started with a 2-day caravan tour yesterday of the first-ever replica image of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno, or “The Black Nazarene” from Quiapo Church.
The image arrived in Bacolod City on November 11. An orientation will be conducted for future Hijos del Nazareno-Bacolod who will serve as caretakers and stewards of the image of the Black Nazarene.
The sacred image was a gift of the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno-Quiapo Church (Archdiocese of Manila) to the Diocese of Bacolod and will be enshrined at the Queen of Peace Parish-Redemptorist in Bacolod City on November 15.
Queen of Peace Parish-Redemptorist rector and parish priest Fr. Mitchel Guadalupe invited the faithful to join the triduum mass which started from November 12 until 14, every 5:30pm at the Queen of Peace Parish-Redemptorist, in preparation for the enshrinement.
