Several officers of the Highway Patrol Group-Negros Occidental were commended recently for their performance and services that resulted in making HPG-6 number 1 in the performance rating of the Police Community Relations Section nationwide, from January 1 to May 31.

Commended were P/Capt. Robelito Mariano, head of HPG-Negros Occidental, and personnel P/Chief Master Sgt. Pat Jewel Belarmino, P/Senior Master Sgt. Renier Canja, Staff Sgts. Jose Marcelo Bana-ay, Felomino Vingno Jr. II, Ryan Cerveza, Renan Bustillo, Joey Dulnuan, Jimuel Eledia, Willard Judis, Melvin Gantalao, and Leonard Meni, and Pat. Jaren Nueva.

“Your high sense of responsibility, commitment to duty, close coordination and supervision to our PHPTs (Provincial Highway Patrol Teams) in the field enabled us to accomplish the tasks mandated to us with very satisfactory results which immensely coordinated in the attainment of Police Regional Office 6’s Vision and Missions in Western Visayas,” the commendation read.

The performance and services rendered by HPG-Negros Occidental contributed in making HPG-6 the top 1 in the submission of accomplishment reports in the administrative section, the Best Regional Operational Support Unit for 2020, and the fifth among HPG offices nationwide in the first five months of 2020.

Belarmino received the commendation in behalf of the team during the awarding ceremony held at the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 6 at Camp Martin Teofilo Delgado in Iloilo City, recently.*
