The provincial government of Negros Occidental yesterday received an award from the Department of Interior and Local Government, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Dangerous Drug Board, for complimenting the national government’s anti-illegal drug campaign.
It received the 2021 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award, after garnering a score of 90 functionality points during the conduct of 2020 ADAC Performance Audit.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz received the award during the Provincial Peace and Order Council meeting held at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City.
The ADAC (Anti-Drug Abuse Council) Performance Award is given by DILG to a local government unit with high ADAC functionality scores and has reduced its drug affectations as reported by the Philippine National Police and PDEA.
DILG has partnered with the DDB in accelerating the campaign against illegal drugs in the communities by providing training and orientation for the ADACs.*
