Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (NOCPPO) announced a successful culmination of its anti-drug campaign for 2025, revealing that the total value of illegal drugs seized across the province was over P45 million.
NOCPPO Spokesperson PCapt. Judesses Catalogo disclosed that the police conducted approximately 1,151 operations throughout the year, resulting in the confiscation of 6,624.632 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P45,047,496.92.
The efforts led to the arrest of 1,447 individuals linked to illegal drug activities.
In addition, authorities seized 2,659.238 grams of suspected marijuana, with a standard drug value of P319,108.56.
In total, the police recovered a total of P45,366,605 worth of illegal drugs in 2025.
In August 2025, Police Regional Office in Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) Director PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay said that the drug groups operating in the province were from other regions, and that most of the illegal drugs being sold were transported through sea ports.
PRO-NIR has reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling drug syndicates, targeting their downlines and connections to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.*
