The Provincial Health Office reported yesterday that dengue cases in Negros Occidental dropped by 60.93 percent last month compared to the same period last year.
PHO reports indicated that 59 cases were recorded last month, compared to 151 in 2023.
The most dengue cases were reported in the cities of La Carlota, Sagay and Silay, with six cases each, while zero cases were noted in Binalbagan, Hinobaan, Ilog, Moises Padilla, Murcia, Pulupandan, Salvador Benedicto, Toboso and San Enrique.
PHO reports indicated zero mortality for the period.
The total attack rate for the province of Negros Occidental, according to the PHO, is two cases per 100,000.*
