A high-value individual drug personality in Negros Oriental was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) at Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Looc, Sibulan, on September 24.

The suspect was identified as a 25-year-old, single male, and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Batinguel, Dumaguete City.

During the operation, the police recovered from the suspect more or less 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P340,000.

Confiscated also was non-drug evidence, including an improvised sealer, plastic sachets, a mobile phone, a belt bag, marked money, and a Suzuki Raider motorcycle.

The suspect, who is now under police custody, will face criminal charges in violation of sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 as authorities tagged the suspect as pusher-user.

With the accomplishment, Police Provincial Director PCol. Crisenfe Tiguelo commended the operating units for their successful anti-drug operation and reiterated NOrPPO’s commitment to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs in the province.*
