The United Dragonhearts ended the 1st DAPA Siargao International Dragon Boat Festival 2023 in Siargao held on July 15-16, with the second overall rank.
The team achieved an overall ranking of third among 28 participating local and international teams, second place in the Small Boat Open Category, fourth place in Small Boat Mixed, and was a semifinalist in Standard Boat Mixed and Small Boat All Women’s Category. It also bagged fifth in team presentation.
A press release from the team thanked team manager Jane Amit-Batiancila, assistant TM Amy Amit-Vite with Joy Gumisad, coach Jose “Nene” Dionaldo, and team advisers Rae Chel, Zaldy Egera, and the team crews and paddlers.
It also thanked Negros Oriental Governor Chaco Sagarbarria, Rep. Chiquiting Sagarbarria and Vice Mayor Maisa Sagarbarria for the support to the team.*
