Retired Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy has been designated as deputy commissioner of the Bureau of Customs by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The order of Uy took effect October 17.
Uy, of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, served as commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, before his retirement from military service on May 21 this year.
Uy, who had been assigned in Negros, held key leadership positions in his 37 year-long service in the military.
He served as the Internal Auditor and Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence of AFP, commander of the Philippine Army Intelligence Regiment, Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence of the Philippine Army, among other key positions.*
