Among the important functions of the members of the NTIPC are to advise the Secretary of Labor and Employment in the formulation or implementation of policies and legislation affecting labor and employment; To review existing labor, economic and social policies and to evaluate local and international developments affecting them and to and to formulate for submission to the President or Congress, tripartite views, recommendations and proposals on labor, economic and social concerns including the presentation of tripartite positions on relevant bills pending in Congress.

“I am honored and grateful to once again be able to serve the interest and welfare of the Filipino workers in the NTIPC. My performance in the tripartite body will speak for itself and I thank Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma and His Excellency President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. for their trust and confidence,” de la Cruz said.*
